Introducing the ECCO Tree Trail

We may not have much public open space in the ECCO area, but we have well over 300 trees!  The image above is of a Black Locust Tree on the corner of Colson Road and Addiscombe Road.

Most of our trees were photographed in 2020 and mapped on an app developed by TiCL Media, based at the Sussex Innovation Centre in One Croydon. You can use this app to locate and identify the trees, then link to a website with further information about that particular species.  Many thanks to Croydon Council for a grant to make this possible.  For information on how to download and use the app, go to our Tree Trail page: https://eastcroydon.org.uk/tree-trail/

We hope that this app will encourage greater interest in our local trees and encourage people to water young trees near their homes when rain is scarce.
