The main matter discussed at the East Croydon Medical Centre Patient Link meeting on 20 September, was the proposal to build a new four-storey medical on the existing site. The new building is needed because of the increase in the population of our area. It will include new diagnostic facilities and an on-site pharmacy that will reduce the number of patients referred to other NHS buildings. There will be a lift to all floors.
Plans and elevations of the new building will be on display in the waiting room shortly. The proposal will be presented to the Council planning committee latter this year. The building will be constructed in two phases, enabling existing services to be provided on site throughout it’s development. It is hoped to open the new building in March 2019
