Could you carve some words onto this tree trunk in #eastcroydon ?

In partnership with Park Hill Residents Association, we are planning to plant a tree to commemorate the life of local environmental campaigner, Joan Pick, on 24 May.

As Joan lived a life according to her principles, we would prefer to use this tree trunk rather than a commemorative plaque.  But we need someone to carve the words “Joan Pick 1940-2017” on it before the ceremony.  The tree trunk is oval, roughly 60 x50cm, and the green centre can’t be carved as it is a bit spongy.

Could you help?  Or do you know someone who could?  If you can, please email angela.vanegas@btinternet.com.
