Following a meeting on 21 July to discuss the impact of making Lebanon Road one-way, local residents, councillors and council staff held a walk about on 9 September. They agreed that a medium to long-term action plan was needed to address traffic issues in the area bounded by Addiscombe Road, Ashburton Road, Lower Addiscombe Road and the railway line.

There will be a local meeting at 7.30-9.30pm on Friday, 18 November to discuss how this plan may be developed.

If you live in the ECCO area (bounded by Addiscombe Road, Tunstall Road, Lower Addiscombe Road and the railway line) and would like to represent your road at this meeting, please email us at mail@eastcroydon.org.uk by Wednesday, 16 November.

  1. I am aghast at the trundling up and down Oval Road of gravel-laden lorries.  They are dropping muck off in the middle of the road. As for the railway access where is our walkway to East Croydon Station?  Miriam Heyburn

  3. Hi Miriam,
The meeting will be at Clyde Hall and we propose an initial meeting on the Friday 18th November from 7.30pm and ending no later than 9.30pm. The room can realistically accommodate 2-3 people from each resident group.
This is not an open public meeting but a meeting for core reps from the streets to discuss the strategic steps forward and come up with some proposals for the council. If you can represent Oval Rd and parts of Cherry Orchard Rd then please do attend.
