Dear All ,
For the last few months a group of us have been meeting to discuss Skills and Enterprise Education across Croydon and the need for all children across Croydon from 5 years to 18 years to engage actively in education that encourages them to develop their skills in areas such as:
- Presentation skills etc
As well as numeracy and literacy.
That is all our children across the Borough need to have the skills to thrive in life both in employment and socially. We have met with Coun Jamie Audsley who will present a paper to the Cabinet on Monday evening on this theme. He knows that he will have more influence the more people he can get to support his proposals.
Croydon has some of the lowest education outcomes for London. We as a community want better outcomes for our children this is a first step in bringing all the community together to try to make sense of our fragmented education system.
Please come along on Monday and join us 6pm on the steps of the Town Hall and at 6.30pm in the Council Chamber for the debate.
