Plants, fungi & animals on the Billinton Hill mural

In April 2025, Angela Vanegas began to record the wild flowers she saw while walking in the ECCO area, so that a selection of them could be depicted in a mural on Billinton Hill. The wall is divided into concrete blocks, reaching from the eastern entrance into the station to the bicycle racks. The mural is still a work in progress, but here are some of the species depicted (identified by a local botanist) block by block. The trees were identified by Esther Potman, a local forest school practitioner. The design was created by Yvonne Tran, who has also done much of the painting (assisted by local people) https://eastcroydon.org.uk/2025/11/15/work-continues-on-the-mural-on-billinton-hill-croydon/
