FREE East Croydon history walk, 3pm Saturday 9 September, starting from The Cricketers, 107 Addiscombe Road

East Croydon Community Organisation (ECCO) are leading a history walk of the area as part of the Open House festival. You can book your ticket here https://programme.openhouse.org.uk/listings/10217. Please note that you will have to scroll down the page to do so.

The tour should take about two hours. Although it is free, donations are welcome towards the running costs of ECCO.

    This event is marked as “Full” on the Open House website. Do you know if they will take more people arriving on the day without booking?

    • That’s strange, Sean. I can only count 17 people booked-in when I go into our account. However, as with all free events, some people will just not turn up on the day, particularly if the weather is bad. So, if you live locally, it’s well worth coming along. In practice, we would be unlikely to turn people away unless there were too many to stand on the pavement (which is unlikely).
