Cherry Orchard Road is partially closed. It is hoped that a new pedestrian crossing will be installed between its junctions with Oval Road and Cedar Road. This could facilitate access to the pedestrian bridge across the railway lines when the two Menta tower blocks are completed.

This is just for the crane removal, the crossing is in October I thought?

Thank you for this comment. The wording of the post was tentative because ECCO has not seen any firm dates for these events. The crane has mostly been removed already, so it seems strange that the road closure has been allowed until 4 September. There are more roadworks planned along that stretch of road in October, but no closures. Do you have a good source of information about when the pedestrian crossing would be installed?
