The lack of a crossing at the corner of Cherry Orchard Road, and Billinton Hill Rd has meant that the hundreds of commuters crossing the road in this location face playing chicken with oncoming cars, and at least one person has already been hit.
One response to “Install temporary crossing to East Croydon Station!”
Not only is there no crossing but the settings on the crossing lights at the top by the tram make you unnecessarily wait for far too long so most people run across when the red man is showing, otherwise you can be standing there for an age even tho no cars are coming. For example it doesn’t show a green for pedestrians when trams make it safe to cross. Have raised it with the Council who admitted it’s not set efficiently for pedestrians but never did anything.
