Historic England’s Buildings at Risk register includes 11 buildings in Croydon. This means they literally could deteriorate beyond repair if nothing is done about them soon.
They include the Grade II listed Leslie Arms at the corner of Cherry Orchard Road and Lower Addiscombe Road.
The upper floors of this pub are currently used as flats. But the vacant ground floor of building is deteriorating, particularly the interior.
Ward councillors have a briefing meeting on 12 June with planning officers on a number of issues, including the Leslie Arms. We shall arrange a public meeting re Leslie Arms soon after.
Jerry Fitzpatrick
Councillor for Addiscombe West (and on behalf of Patricia Hay-Justice and Sean Fitzsimons)
