“Maoists, Marxists, Radical Feminists & Radical Queens” talk, 8pm Tuesday 19 February at The Spread Eagle, Katharine St

UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_9bb6 2

Author Stuart Feather will tell us about giant cucumbers, fake nuns, dead light-bulbs; weapons of the first lesbian and gay sexual revolution whose demonstrations were colourful, camp, and bitingly sarcastic, wrong-footing authority at every turn. Maoists, Marxists, Radical Feminists and Radical Queens struggled to define the idea of gay liberation.

Organised by Croydon Area Gay Society for LGBT History Month.
