Ark Blake Academy will now open a year later than expected, in September 2020.   Eventually, it will be a six-form-entry secondary school with a 300 place sixth form. It will open initially with 180 year 7 pupils and grow by one year group each year.

Planning permission was granted unanimously by Croydon Council’s Planning Committee in October 2017.  Wates have been demolishing the existing structures on site. They will begin to construct the new buildings later in 2018.
