Many of you will have visited The David Lean Cinema in Katharine Street, which is run by volunteers.

The people that run it are concerned about what might happen to the cinema after the local elections next May. They would like to see both the local Labour and Conservative parties make a pledge in their election manifestos to keep the David Lean Cinema open and to maintain the fabric and equipment of the cinema to current standards.

They have produced an outline letter which they are asking their supporters to send to their local Councillors.  Click here for more information.
