Earlier this week, two men knocked at several doors in Canning Road. One of them said that he had lost his iPhone and a tracking device indicated that it was inside. He said that they wanted to enter the house and have a look for the iPhone. They were in the road for at least an hour.
The police believe that these men are potentially looking for vulnerable people who will be trusting enough to allow them into their property. Once inside they would then have access to the resident’s belongings and could potentially overpower them.
If you know of someone who is vulnerable to this type of crime, please check on them and make them aware that there are bogus callers operating in the area.
If you do suspect someone is trying to scam you or a neighbour please either
