Story of a Lambeth midwife, talk by @ES_FHS, 7.45pm Tuesday 17 January at East Croydon United Reform Church

“Seven o’clock and not a baby bathed”. Elizabeth Matilda Halston (nee Dunkley) trained as a midwife in the 1920s, and embarked on a career that was to last nearly 25 years. This illustrated talk by her grandson Robert Holden is a celebration of her life and work.

  1. Robert has previously given this talk at a CNHSS meeting, it was a very infiormative and enjoyable talk and I would recommend that if you are free on Tuesday evening that you attend this talk.
