Addiscombe Safer Neighbourhood Team are looking for volunteers to help our Roads and Transport policing team in cracking down on speeding. The Scheme involves residents being trained on a speed gun by PCs or PCSOs who then record all the car registrations the volunteers clock with the speed gun. Once recorded the offenders will receive a warning letter in the post but if the same person is caught 3 times or more they can then be fined.

Please be aware that, if you are to participate, you will not be allowed to perform checks in your own road but will be able to do checks on neighbouring roads. This is to avoid any unnecessary disputes with people you may know.
