There will be further drop-in sessions on Tuesdays, 20 & 27 January and 10 & 24 February.
At a meeting in Croydon on 19 November 2025, local people told the Police that their main priorities were that they
– reduce anti-social behaviour and drugs supply across the borough by increasing police presence and visibility.
– improve safety for women and girls on our streets.
– engage with young people through schools and youth services.
They are now working to tackle these issues by:
– identifying how they can keep neighbourhood officers on their wards, reducing abstractions and targeting the areas where anti-social behaviour and drugs supply are most prevalent.
– tackling the most dangerous and prolific perpetrators of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and increasing police visibility in areas where women say they do not feel safe, specifically in the town centre and around transport hubs. Plus, working with partners to support the 16 days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence every year.
– working in partnership with the schools to identify opportunities where they can engage with young people and increasing their after-school patrols.
