Mohammed from Gloucester Road was the first person to come forward to help colour in the outlines of the mural on Billinton Hill on Sunday 30 November, staying for an amazing six hours! By then, many more people had joined in. The mural is not completed yet and further drop-in sessions will be organised when the weather permits and the wonderful artist, Yvonne Tran, is available.

Local artist, Ruthie, has also started her outlines on the wall, closer to East Croydon station’s eastern entrance.

The project, organised by Yvonne and Ellie Sandover, is funded by The Royal Gardens of Kew and Govia Thameslink Railways.  It is being supported by Steve Fleming, the manager of East Croydon Station and Max Kenna of East Croydon Community Organisation (ECCO).
