Croydon University of the Third Age (u3a) activities in and around East Croydon this winter #croydon

Croydon University of the Third Age (u3a) offers a wide range of activities to counteract the mid-winter blues throughout Croydon. All their activities are run and led by volunteers, with members sharing their experience and learning from each other. There are plenty of opportunities to get to know new people and make new friends.

In the ECCO area, a darts and pub lunch group meets at The Orchard Pub on Cherry Orchard Road. Nearby a variety of groups meet In St Matthews’ Church Hall on Chichester Road, including table tennis, the history of London and singing for pleasure.  In central Croydon, the film group meets monthly at the David Lean Cinema and the board games group meets at the Ludoquist Café.

Many of the groups have programmes of visits, often starting from East Croydon station. For those less able to go out and about, they also offer some groups on Zoom – including a very popular monthly quiz.
