Save the Glamorgan AGM 7:30pm Wednesday, 29 October at Croydon Town Hall, Katharine Street #croydon

This will be the first meeting since the ownership of the building changed hands earlier this year. If you have any concern for the future of the oldest building in the ECCO area (built c1835) please attend.

  1. Good luck to the fans of the Glam. It is not, however, the oldest building in the ECCO area! There is an ancient cottage near my house. It has a mathematically tiled roof and other bygone features. It has been described as the oldest domestic building in Croydon. Yet nobody seems to care about it. It has been standing alone in a “newbuild” area and pigeons have taken it over. Every week another tile falls from its lovely roof.

    • Hi, Miriam. May I ask you for the evidence for the age of the building with mathematical tiles? On the 1838 tithe map, there is a building in the location of The Glamorgan, but the area around Leslie Park Road is an empty field.
