Recently, Dr Mark Spencer, the London Natural History Society’s and the Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland’s vascular plant recorder for the London area and Middlesex, has been undertaking an assessment of the current status of London’s plant life. The resulting Red List makes sombre reading as this talk will outline, alongside Dr Spencer’s views on what needs to be done to halt the decline.
