
Transport for London is undertaking essential maintenance on the tramway around the Shirley Hills Road crossing (between the Coombe Lane and Gravel Hill tram stops). The work is scheduled to be completed by 4am on Saturday, 19 April.
A bus replacement service will operate until then, serving tram stops between New Addington and George Street. However, it will not stop at the Lloyd Park stop, due to the closure of Coombe Lane/Gravel Hill.
While this work is taking place, Transport for London are taking the opportunity to
- Resurface Gravel Hill Northbound carriageway (A212)
- Resurface Southbound carriageway of Kent Gate Way (A2022)
- Resurface Gravel Hill Southbound carriageway (A212)
- Resurface Northbound c/w of Kent Gate Way (A2022)
- Re-rail works through the Sandilands tunnels.
- Repair highways, maintain vegetation and refurbish platforms at various locations.
- Replace rails at King Henry’s Drive roundabout and the vehicle crossing into Lloyd Park by the tram stop.
