Croydon Council is considering making changes to traffic flows in our local streets. This may have significant implications for all of us – drivers, cyclists, pedestrians, children who play.
The Council has placed traffic counters on some of our local roads. These are gathering information which will inform discussion about regulating local traffic in different ways. Changes may increase (or decrease) the number of cars using your road.
The consultation is being funded from the Mayor of London’s Healthy Streets initiative. The final decision will come from Croydon Council’s Mayor. More information can be found here https://eastcroydon.org.uk/briefing-note-on-the-engagement-approach-for-addiscombe-east-and-west/
Please attend this or one of the other of the drop-in sessions listed below, at any time between the stated hours. You will be free to express opinions on such issues as traffic increases, the impact of speeding cars, traffic calming measures and ways to balance the interests of those who live in our local streets and/or cycle, drive, play and walk in them.
