With the hot dry weather setting in, our wildlife and young street trees need our help.
If you are able to put bowls of clean water outside for birds and small animals (both raised and at ground level) that will help them survive.
If you have a street tree near where you live, with supports in position (as below), it still needs to watered regularly – through the black tube at its base, if it has one. Washing up or bathwater will do. Apart from making our street look good, they provide shade and improve air quality. In the current financial climate, we cannot be guaranteed replacements should any of them die.
