Meeting point – corner of Bisenden Road and Addiscombe Road

The fourth and final community tidy-up of the year is upon us.   The generous GoodGym volunteers return yet again on Tuesday 15 November.

A reminder to readers:  GoodGym (a charity which combines community service with keeping fit) has for several years helped to keep The Boulevard in shape.   The Boulevard was the original name of the stretch of the Addiscombe Road running from Bisenden Road to East Croydon Station which has planted areas on the edge of the footway.

GoodGym members will put in about 50 minutes hard shift removing litter,  ivy,  weeds and overgrowth of shrubs from the planted areas.   They will not intentionally destroy flowers and shrubs.

Community members and friends are respectfully invited to assist in GoodGym’s endeavours to make East Croydon tidier.   Please come and join them.   Please feel free to spread details on social media.

Loppers and shears will be available,  as well as litter-picks,  protective gloves, hi-vis jackets and much more.  Do bring your own equipment if you have it.

Conroy Barnett is once again leading the GoodGym team.   I shall be there and look forward to seeing ECCO friends and neighbours, and indeed anyone from any area willing to get out on a cool November evening and join the community effort.
