Sunday 13th March – Railway Park Volunteer Day

Our next Volunteer day will be on Sunday 13th March between 2pm and 5pm.
The weather forecast hints at showers midday, but otherwise mild temperature.

We managed to dig over the vegetable beds in the rain last month, so we can start planting some vegetables and wild flower seeds.
The Garden fencing as been raised and we have lots of frog spawn in both ponds.

Suggested tasks include:
1. Cutting back buddliea around the Community Garden.
2. Dismantle the collapsed flower bed in the Garden and save plants and bulbs for re-planting in a new bed, or move to one of the other raised beds.
3. Wildseed one or two of the flower planters.
4. Remove grass etc.. from around the Railway Points and Sleepers.
5. Dig out compost from the bottom of the Compost heap.
