Hi all
The agenda and accompanying papers for the meeting of TMAC on 5 July are now live and available on the council’s website.
Although the officers’ recommendation has been set out in the report, I want to emphasise that this is ultimately a decision for the committee and they will take that decision on the night, and in light of not only the report, but also the representations they hear on the evening – from local residents, Residents Association reps, and the local ward councillors. At this stage the recommendations are exactly that: recommendations.
While I am more than happy for you and residents to email me with responses (subjection/objection/observations) to the report, in the interests of openness and transparency I will engage with these issues at TMAC rather than by email. The decision and rationale for our decision should be based on an open and public discussion and debate.
Finally, in order to ensure as wide a range of voices as possible can be heard, I intend to use my discretion as chair to waive the rule that only one speaker for and one speaker against may address the committee.
Victoria Lower (copied) is the person to whom requests to speak at TMAC should be submitted.
Thank you for your contributions, considerations and patience to date.
