Contribute to research on the aftermath of the Croydon riots

Cardiff and Stockholm Universities are comparing the aftermaths and outcomes of the riots in London (2011) and Stockholm (2013). The London case study focuses on Tottenham and Croydon (during which our local TV Shop was looted).

Although there have been many studies on the causes of riots, there has been very little research into how communities, social networks, policy agendas and local economies are affected in the long-term. The outcomes of the research could help communities become more resilient, and help policy-makers be more responsive and effective in managing and addressing social division and exclusion.

Kizzy Smith would like to conduct a short interview with local people around this subject. If you would like to take part, please contact her on SmithK29@cardiff.ac.uk.
