A message from our friends in Canning and Clyde Residents’ Association

Recently there have been two separate incidents involving teenagers who live in Canning Road. They both took place between the Lebanon Road tram stop and Canning Road.

• A young man was approached by two young men he didn’t know. They put their arms round him as if they were friends and asked if he had a mobile phone.
• A young lady was approached by a man in his twenties. He asked for her name and address and walked with her down Canning Road.

In both cases our young people were sufficiently calm and streetwise not to give away any personal information and not to let the people who approached them see where they lived. Neither of them were harmed and nothing was stolen.
