12 May consultation deadline for proposed one-way working on Addiscombe Court Rd & Canning Rd #eastcroydon

If you live in East Croydon, you probably received a letter in early April addressed to “To the Occupier”.  This letter asked you to indicate your support or opposition to making Addiscombe Court Road and Canning Road no-entry at their southern junctions with Addiscombe Road.  The aim of these changes would be to reduce the traffic and head-to-head vehicle conflicts in these two roads.

The date for returning the attached questionnaire in its pre-paid envelop is Friday, 12 May.  If you have not yet returned your questionnaire and are unsure how to respond, you might like to consider how the proposed changes would affect

  • your access to your home by yourself, your family, friends and customers
  • the work of the emergency services
  • the future routes of vehicles that currently turn north into Addiscombe Court Road and Canning Road

If you have not received this letter or would like further information, contact russell.birtchnall@croydon.gov.uk.
